Web-based knowledge portal

Information within FIF is primarily shared through a dedicated web‑based portal, providing continuous and structured access to content. Participating organisations receive access through personal user accounts, enabling secure, individualised access for authorised users within each organisation.

Portal access includes:

• Regular progress updates (approximately monthly)
• Overviews of the Forsmark site, facilities and construction plans
• Recorded presentations covering construction activities and R&D topics
• A Q&A forum allowing participants to submit written questions and receive responses from SKB experts

All material is intended to support internal use within participating organisations.

Presentations and webinars

Recorded presentations

• Uploaded on a regular basis
• Typical duration: 30–60 minutes
• One or more new presentations per quarter
• Cover both:
  • Forsmark construction activities
  • Research and technical development topics

Live webinars

• Two live webinars per year (approximately two hours each)
• Purpose:
  • Enable oral questions and dialogue with SKB experts
• Focus on:
  • Key topics presented since the previous period
  • Clarification of technical, organisational and strategic issues

Annual site visit to Forsmark

An annual site visit to Forsmark is organised for FIF participants.

Format

• 1–1.5 day visit
• On‑site observation of ongoing construction activities
• Presentations and in‑depth discussions with SKB representatives
• Strategic Member Meeting (Tier 2)

• Two lunches and one dinner

The site visit provides first‑hand insight into construction reality and complements the digital content through direct professional exchange.
